The AC6 is a two way full range loudspeaker designed for permanent installations. This low profile, high output, weather resistant speaker features a treated direct radiating 6.5 inch cone loudspeaker and a 1 inch direct radiating high frequency dome tweeter with a passive crossover. The AC6 is ideally suited for under balconies, distributed systems, or any other application where compact high output, high resolution sound reproduction is needed.
The enclosure is constructed of 12-ply void-free birch hardwood plywood and is coated with a weather and wear resistant ProCoat™ polyurea hybrid finish. All rigging components are weather protected with a heat cured epoxy powder coat finish. Components in the front of the enclosure are protected by a curved grill made from perforated steel that is coated with heat cured epoxy powder, and lined with acoustically transparent foam.
Mounting locations are distributed across 3 surfaces of the enclosure. An Omni-mount™ compatible location is available on the rear of the enclosure, while an additional 6 reinforced 1/4-20 UNC threaded locations are available for other mounting options. U-bracket with attachment hardware is also available for single unit wall and ceiling mount installation.
One channel of discrete amplification and signal processing is required for this product. The preferred signal processors for the AC6 is the McCauley M Series family of loudspeaker controllers. The System Design Group can help in creating a complete amplification and signal processing solution.
